Opportunities for Employment is located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, across from the MTS centre on Portage Avenue in the Summerset Building. Here, their mission is to connect job seekers and employers, bringing them together to foster successful long-term employment and to grow local Winnipeg businesses.

As a not-for-profit corporation, OFE has been providing FREE employment assistance services to the Winnipeg community since 1996. To date, over 27,500 people have found employment at OFE. They offer a variety of programs and services designed to prepare individuals for an effective job search in today’s job market, upgrade their skills if needed and connect them with employers who are hiring.

OFE is well known to be innovative, data-rich and evidence-based, using the valuable information they collect to inform program decisions, analyse and improve services and adapt to the changing needs of the local labour market.

Approximately 500 active job seekers with various skills, education and experience are looking for employment at any given time from entry-level to professional job opportunities. Whether it is distributing a job posting, coordinating a hiring event, screening individuals specifically for a position or developing an on-going partnership where they screen and train candidates for you, OFE is able to address your unique Human Resource challenges and find a solution to meet your needs.
